Welcome to my interactive blog about birds, birding, and  birders.  I intend for this to be a place where birders, aspiring birders, and non-birders can provide input, stimulate discussion,  learn, help others learn, and have lots of fun.  Most importantly, I want you to help me think by getting you to think hard about birding.

Question:  What is a Model Birder?

Answer:  No, I am not being pretentious here.  I simply am a birder who uses models to help me think about the various meanings of what it means to be a birder – and what gets in the way of somebody becoming a birder.

I encourage you to provide lots of feedback on this site.  I want it to be a really useful resource for everyone in the birding community.
